Welcome to this site dedicated to all art lovers, to all color dreamers, to all those who derive joy and reason from Art to face the real world difficulties.
Painting created. starting from a daydream, from a state of mind predisposed to the imagination.
Oil on canvas - 60 x 40 cm
Caran D'Ache colored pencils drawing of the size of a 10 x 20 cm surgical mask created to join the artistic event entitled "Mascherina d'Artista" organized by the artist Gianni Ottaviani.
At the moment I have no works in progress. On the site you can still see:
The finished canvases are treated with glossy transparent spray paint for protection and to emphasize the colors by eliminating the “opaque” appearance of some tones.
Above you can see the last four oil paintings finished and inserted in the gallery. As you can see, a fantastic or metaphysical theme prevails, interrupted only by the last marine subject created with the sides painted to be hung on sight and destined for my sweet Fabiana.
Above you can see the last two drawings completed and inserted in the gallery. The last (first from left) was born after a long time that I was no longer using colored pencils and inspired by the current situation we are experiencing. The other one (a portrait of a colleague of mine) is not very recent, for the limited time available and for having dedicated myself last year only to painting.
Above you can see two fantasy themed drawings made at the beginning of my artistic adventure when I was much younger. The bard was inspired by the Celtic magical universe while the lady with colored pencils named “Nimrodel” is taken from the universe of J.R.R. Tolkien. You can see others in the appropriate gallery.
There are several subjects that I have used in my paintings and drawings, in particular recently a series of compositions with metaphysical suggestion (arches and squares by De Chirico) mixed with visions that draw their source from masters of the comic strip (Moebius) and animation (Myazaki). However, you will find on the Portfolio page a description of the main types of subjects with which I create my works and the main techniques for drawings.
